This month, my writing mentor, David Farland, unexpectedly passed away. It's been really hard to work through because I think on some level I'm still in denial. It doesn't feel real, and I've struggled putting into words exactly what I've been feeling.

Breaking Writer’s Block
Writer’s block. Arguably one of the greatest banes of a writer’s life. It doesn’t care what kind of a writer you are, how many books or articles or whatever you’ve written. The rider flicks the reins and urges the elephant to start on the adventure, but the elephant doesn’t… Continue reading The Writer vs The Elephant

Ultradian Rhythm: Work With Your Grain
I have a trick to getting more quality work done. A hack that taps into human biology and helps me be more efficient with my energy and focus so I can get better writing done, before my brain runs out of juice to function. I’ve made my ultradian rhythm my slave. Okay, whatever, Ais, but… Continue reading Ultradian Rhythm: Work With Your Grain
